Life is the journey where we are robbed of the power of choice; the choice to choose to play or not to play. Consequently, whether you like it or not you will travel the journey of life and will continue to do just that till you leave this planet. If there was the power of choice so that we could say we would not travel the journey of life and we tried not to make the journey, we would end up with the disadvantage end of life itself, tipped and tossed mercilessly by every circumstance we can think of, known or unknown and this experience comes absent of pleasantness. I do not think any of us would want to wish for such! Therefore, it is best you dusted your bag, put on your shoes, hope for the best and make that journey.
In life you do not just fold your hands and expect things to happen or hope they would work out. It is you who makes them happen, who work them out. Putting your life under the mercy of circumstances is a bet you are likely to lose as you let certain external or internal factors determine your destination and you become a victim of circumstances.
ANY Destination is NO Destination. We need to learn to gain control and stay in control of our life, listening, learning and doing the right things to better our circumstance. NEVER allow another determine your destination in life, exercise your power of choice to choose rightly; such which benefits you and the society at large! No one is destined to fail except such a person who is one too quick to give up on a noble pursuit or one refusing to fight the good fight for survival. You must decide a definite destination in life, a good one, and pursue it with all you got. No one is going to pursue the best things in life for you, even if they did it would still be your cross to carry in the end. Your your life is more about you and how your impact others; make your life count. PLAN. You need to have a Plan that will work for you and this blog will be helping you do just that. Planning, and planning correctly is key to our success, therefore, failure to plan for your life is another plan leading to a failure. Yes, not planning at all is your express failure ticket. Make your life count, and make it count now and not only for yourself but for all who are around your sphere of influence.
Back to our main point; Life is Career and Career is Life and hence, Career is a Journey as life is! I am so glad taking part with you on this Career journey, we shall succeed together in this adventure and I am convinced it is going to be a wonderful one and one you will not just never forget but also would pass down to others. Do you remember the early days; even today it’s norm, when you ask your Parents why they are sending you to school or that they want to emphasize why you must take school seriously, they say something like: ”We are sending you to school so that you can have a better life.” Tell me you haven’t heard this before! For some, we hear; “You need to go to school my child so that you would be a better person tomorrow’. To hit the nail right on the head, and professionally speaking too, our parents actually are talking about ‘Career’, only that they do not use the word or might not even know it was the word to use or that which they meant when they talked to their children about having a better life by being educated. So, for those of you who feel the word ‘Career’ sounds like a new word, you missed it because ‘Career’ has been at the center of our very existence as your parents, guardians, instructors provides you with all the help they can give to help you survive on your own through knowledge and skill acquisition!
It is clear now. The main reason why you are in school or why you are sent to school is to achieve that one goal called a Career, the core reason why you are learning a skill, acquiring a knowledge, learning a trade, is to achieve that one thing called a 'Career'. Very funny isn’t it? Not at all my friend, wait till you see the challenges people face choosing just one career. Yes, the problem with Careers is that people do not just know which or what to do; in fact, many do not just know what to do with their life! No problem, that is why we are here, to learn together, to share experiences and to achieve that career dream!
